Created during the California Gold Rush, this golden style ale is an American original that was developed in the cool San Francisco area using lager yeast, but fermented at higher ale temperatures. The very crisp and quaffable beer is a perfect balance of malt and hops, ideal for a touch of West Coast style without the citrus American hops.
